PowderMet2025 & AMPM2025 – HOT! HOT! HOT!
The conference kicked off on June 15 with the 19th Annual APMI International Golf Tournament, followed by the Welcoming Reception. Colleagues, both old and new, came together to connect, rekindle friendships, and celebrate the student conference grant recipients from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Center for Powder Metallurgy Technology (CPMT).
During the Opening General Session, MPIF Executive Director/CEO James Adams welcomed the delegates and urged them to fully engage with the event. He encouraged participation, interaction, and the initiation of discussions during the more than 150 technical presentations available.
Stucky offered insights into the current state of the PM industry in North America. "This year marks a pivotal moment for the manufacturing sector, indicating transformative changes not just in the United States, but worldwide," Stucky remarked. Keynote speaker Martin provided a valuable global and regional overview of automotive production and sales forecasts, as well as a broad perspective on propulsion systems. The presentation emphasized key geopolitical and economic factors affecting the industry.
