MIM2024 Fosters Innovation

  

MIM2024, the International Conference on Injection Molding of Metals, Ceramics, and Carbides, concluded late last month and was deemed an innovative success! Held in Raleigh, North Carolina, the specialized conference attracted over 105 delegates, representing over 70 companies from 10 countries.

The conference kicked off with an enlightening presentation on ESG & Sustainability, by Barton White, Kymera International. Barton outlined a comprehensive approach to ESG, emphasizing measurable objectives, safety, inclusive reward structures, and community engagement. Twenty-five technical presentations highlighting the latest metal injection molding related material, process, testing, tooling, and sintering technologies. Additionally, nearly 30 companies showcased their products and services during a tabletop exhibit, with many of the exhibitors showcasing the latest developments during the Technological Process & Product Innovations presentations. A reception and tour of Kymera International were included in the program.

The Metal Injection Molding Association (MIMA) provided grants for 5 students to attend the conference. Not only were the grant recipients given the opportunity to hear cutting-edge presentations, make connections with professionals in the field, and gain exposure to the MIM industry, but each provided a presentation on work at their universities.
