American Fine Sinter, Tiffin, Ohio, announced plans to gradually wind down its PM operations with a targeted closure in March 2028. Parent company Fine Sinter Co., Ltd., Kasugai City, Japan, reported the North American PM components will be shifted to other company facilities.

Colibrium Additive, a GE Aerospace (GE) company, West Chester, Ohio, received a $31 million contract from the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command, or NAVAIR, to support an initiative aimed at speeding the testing, qualification and certification of metal parts made through additive manufacturing.

Elmet Technologies LLC, Lewiston, Maine, a manufacturer of tungsten and molybdenum, has received a US Patent for the “Fabrication of Metallic Parts by Additive Manufacturing”. The patented process covers the fabrication of metallic objects comprising a mixture or alloy of tungsten heavy alloys with controlled additions of nickel, iron, copper, cobalt, or manganese.

Gevorkyan, a.s., Vikanová, Slovakia, has purchased all assets of powder metallurgy parts producer Sinteris, Bologna, Italy.

Phoenix Sintered Metals, LLC, Brockway, Pennsylvania, has acquired Custom Industrial Processing, Inc., a precision CNC machining, mechanical plating/galvanizing, and resin impregnation provider in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. Phoenix will continue operations at the St. Marys facility under the new name Phoenix Industrial Services, LLC.

Tube Investments of India Limited (TII), Tamil Nadu, India, has announced the acquisition of 76% of metal injection molding company Orange Koi Private Limited, Nadupuru, India, now a subsidiary of Tube Investments of India.
